Prior to medical school I spent a year working in Uganda where I first faced the stark realities of inequality and the lack of access to adequate healthcare.
I trained in Cardiff and worked initially in Paediatrics in New Zealand, South Wales and Great Ormond Street before returning to Africa where I worked for 2 and half years in South Sudan responding to outbreaks and health emergencies.
I returned to complete my GP training in Brighton. I have always been drawn to working with those that face inequality and hardship and so it felt very natural to join the wonderful team at Arch in 2017.
I am a Director of Arch because I believe there is incredible value in the work Arch does in striving for outstanding holistic healthcare for people facing homelessness and amplifying the voice of those that often feel voiceless in our society.
