If your doctor or nurse refers you to another service for further support, it is useful to know what happens next. Scroll through this alphabetical list of services, and click on the one you want to know about, to find out how long it will take them to acknowledge your referral, and how long it will take until you receive assessment or treatment. If there are any services not listed on here, please contact us so we can add them to the list.

Acknowledge receipt of referral (usually same day as we receive the emailed referral) supported with a brief handout for the patient.
Triage is usually carried out within 5 days and the patient is sent a set of questionnaires to complete.
Once completed and returned and provided we have everything we need from the surgery (missing bloods, reports etc), the patient will then go on a wait list for an assessment appointment.

We can refer our patients to a dentist only under specific circumstances.

Patients will receive a text to advise their referral has been received and currently the waiting time for an appointment is approx. 4 -6 months. To contact directly, call 01273 430022.
Once they have received the referral an acknowledgement letter is sent out to the patient. They are currently booking appointments for people who were referred to the service in September 2017. These individuals have had to wait on average 33 to 36 months. To contact directly, call 020 8938 7590.
