Cervical screening, or smear test, is a quick procedure, that we offer in the surgery to women aged 25-64. There is an easy-to-read leaflet about it, available here.
We encourage any eligible patients, if they’ve had an invitation form us to a cervical screening, to book an appointment with us. Cervical screening is a quick procedure, and the most effective way to help reduce your risk of cervical cancer. If you are not sure whether you are due a smear test, feel free to contact us to check.
If this is your first screening, or you have any questions or worries, please let us know and we can ensure your appointment time is long enough to take some time to chat about the procedure and make sure you’re comfortable.
